Simon Haram’s audio and post production company Silent Age Sound was set up in 2000 in order to complete work on his CD “Frame”.

Since then he has worked on a variety of different projects for numerous record companies.

Clients include ASV, Black Box, Classic FM, IMP, Living Era, NMC, Onyx Classics, Quartz, Retrospective Records, Sanctuary Classics, SonyBMG and Universal.


SAS can provide fully portable facilities for location recordings and has a small live room on site suitable for up to three players.

Past clients include The Nash Ensemble, Andy Findon, Matthew Barley, Tango Volcano.


Computer assisted mixing from multitrack recordings or DAW files.

Past clients include Classic FM, Richard Rodney Bennett, John Owen Jones, Geoff Eales, and Dave Lee.


SAS provides that “final touch” to bring all the elements of an album together and give them an overall sound.

Past clients include Karl Jenkins, Viktoria Mullova, Yuri Bashmet, Roxanna Panufnik, Christianne Stotijn, Juliette Pochin, James Morgan, Richard Blackford, Patrick Hawes and Stephen Barlow.


From operas to jazz quartets, string orchestras to contemporary ensembles, all have been stitched together at SAS.

Past clients include The London Symphony Orchestra, Harrison Birtwistle, Mark-Anthony Turnage and Fraser Trainer.


SAS offers full audio restoration of 78’s and other vinyl or analogue source material.

Past clients include the Hallé Orchestra, Living Era and NMC.


IMP, Retrospective Records and Sanctuary Classics have called up SAS for extensive compilation and re-release work.
